Essie vs. Revlon Colorstay

Everyone loves a good nail polish and goodness knows I am always on the hunt to try something new! Lately I've been loving Essie, of course, who doesn't?! But, today I went to Wallgreens and I decided to try a different brand and let me tell you, I am so glad I did! I bought the Revlon Colorstay nail polish! It's long ware enamel and kind of like a gel or shellac! I got the color "Indigo Night." It's a super funky shade of blue and im in love! Did I mention it only took me one coat?! YES, one coat only! Plus it was on sale for $4.99. Easy to say, day made!

Time for a Break!

It's time for Thanksgiving break from school! I'm so happy and so thankful for everything! Time for family, friends, and food! I hope everyone had a great Tuesday!

I'm back!
After taking a SUPER long break from blogging, I am happy to say I am back! I am not sure how I was able to be gone from my blog for so long, but that's in the past and I am here to stay! Yay! Lately, I have had an obsession with loafers. I really want an assortment of colors and when I went to Target the other day I saw a whole wall full of loafers! There were black ones, burgundy ones, and SPARKLY ones!! I went with the sparkly ones hoping I have a place to wear them in the future. But then I was thinking they could be worn with jeans and a black top. I'll be sure to share my outfits once I wear them! They were only $19.99 by the way!

Pinterest DIY

Tonight I was feeling extra crafty so I searched around a little on Pinterest and found a simple and easy craft! Luckly I had all the materials at my house and I got started right away! All you need is a collaged picture frame, cute paper, and letters. I used an old Christmas gift frame and my scrap booking supplies! Unfortunately my frame had a broken glass but I kept going. Then, what do you know, I broke a second one! So please ignore the two broken glasses in my picture! I highly recommend y'all do this because it is easy to plan out your week and see it whenever you need it! I normally plan month by month so I just look in my calendar for the week I'm in and write down my tasks with a dry erase marker! I hope y'all try it out and enjoy!!

My Recent Purchases

I went shopping the other day and got some super cute things! Old Navy is one of my favorite stores because they never fail to surprise me! There are always new clothes, new patters, and new sales.

These sail boat shorts caught my eyes so quickly! They came in the navy color and orange. I chose the navy because I am hoping to get navy Jack Rogers for my birthday (which is coming up soon!!!!!!).

The shorts were originally $25 and they were on sale for $17.

This button up has been on my wish list for a while and I am so glad I got it. It will go with any color shorts and any color pants! I could even tuck it in to a skirt or wear it under a colored sweater. The possibilities are endless! This was $25.

DIY Monogram Earrings

Instead of using .5" decals on your home button on an Iphone, make some earrings out of 'em!!

Steps:

1. Order Iphone sized (.5") monogram vinyl decal stickers from etsy.com. I got mine HERE and they came in great quality and also came with instructions for those who do not know how to adhere the decals. The website where I got mine said 12 decals for $6 but surprising me they gave me 20 decals!!! 

2. Pick out simple solid studs. Mine are from Forever 21 and were around $8.

3. Clean the front of your earrings (where the decal will go).

4. Place the sticky side of the deal on the earring and rub super hard until the decal lays flat and is staying. 

You're all done!! Super easy and super cute!!

My New Favorites!

My most recent purchases are from Etsy, two amazing eye catchers! First, a gold sideways cross necklace. and second, ribbon elastic hair ties.

1. Sideways Cross Necklace. This necklace has been on my radar for months now and I finally bought one! I have seen it on multiple celebrities and now I'll be sporting it as well! If you want this same one you can get it HERE!  

This is the one I got in the mail today. I absolutely love it! It was wrapped perfectly and I even got a coupon with it for my next purchase! I will definitely buy from this etsy shop again! By the way, the quality was AMAZING!!!

2. Hair Ties. These cute little things are suppose to be the bomb dot com! I have heard only good things about these bad boys. They don't leave indents in your hair and I think that's some kind of a miracle. Buy these HERE!

House Envy

Lately I have been kinda crazy about celebrity houses. I mean how can I not? They are amazing- not just the houses, but the celebrities too! Who doesn't love Kim Zolciak, Tory Burch, and Rachel Zoe?! I sure love them all! First off, Kim's hair (or wig) is to die for. Literally, I want my hair to look like that!! Now Tory Burch, not only is her house gorgeous but so are her shoes, clothes, and accessories. And of course, Rachel Zoe- my fashion role model. Seriously, I AM going to work for her one day and I WILL be just like her. Her house is lovely too! One day I'll have a house and lifestyle like these ladies! YAY!

I hope all of y'all had a great day today! I spent my day doing hair for two of my friends proms! I'll do a post to show y'all the styles I did sometime next week because I still have one more prom hair to do on Friday! But back to today! While I was doing my BFF Elise's hair her boyfriend was showing us the options of bow tie combos he could do and I was awe struck! He got his cummerbund and boy tie from High Cotton! Let me tell ya, this is probably the cutest bow tie ever. There are 4 different color combos possible and the cummerbund has three colors on it as well. It's all seersucker- my favorite thing on a guy! Take a look!!

Side Tracked
So right now I am writing a paper for my AP Psychology class and it's on the different personality theories. So far I am about two thirds of the way done but, of course, I got side tracked. I cannot focus at all for some reason so I figured why not blog about it.
I was wondering what y'all do when you get off track and lose your train of thought? I need some new ideas because changing the song, scanning though Pinterest, and searching through the pantry are just not helping me! Any ideas?!

Monogrammed Turvis Tumbler!
So a few weeks ago when I went spring break shopping with my friends we decided we needed some cute Turvis Tumblers for the beach! We went to our local Lilly Mae's (One of my favorite stores ever!) and they couldn't of had a better selection. There were so many designs and shapes and sizes. Needless to say the decision making process took longer than we anticipated. Once we had them all picked out I had the idea to get the vinyl decal to stick on my Turvis Tumbler and I am so happy with the result. I chose a camo one and put an orange decal on it. Ahhh I love it!!

This is my camo one with the decal! That decal is a 2" ($7), the same size that is on my phone case.

These are all of the ones we got! Mine is the first one, Morgan's is the middle one, and Katelyn got the one on the right. They were all cute and reasonably priced!

My Top 5 Summertime Shoes!

1. Cowboy boots! These are my go to shoes that I wear with everything. They are by far my favorite shoes I own!

 

2. Jack Rogers! These shoes scream summer and hot weather. You can't go wrong with a pair of these.

 

3. Wedges! When summertime comes around, the wedges come out!

 

4. Loafers! Lately I have been obsessed with loafers! They are just so clean and classy looking and quite comfortable!

 

These are the next pair I want! Along with a monogrammed pair as well!

5. Lindsay Phillips snap flaps and flip flops. I have worn my flats thin and I just started wearing the white flip flops. So far I like them but after wearing them for a while, my feet start to hurt. I'm thinking I just need to break them in a little bit!
